Q - Where do I purchase a security gate opener (clicker)?  What if my opener isn't working?
Security gate openers (clickers) are available from the association for $50.00 each. Contact Bill Watson 324-4149 (home) or 294-4149 (office) to purchase new or additional openers.  Please make your check payable to Lakewood Association.

If you are a new resident and have been given gate openers from the previous resident, please remove the remote from the grey sun visor clip.   On the back of the remote is a 5 digit remote ID number (example: 00000 or 00516 or 00123).  Please furnish Bill with the number of gate openers you have and their ID numbers.  In order for the security gate system to work properly, he will need all new resident’s names, telephone number, street address, and most importantly, the name of the prior resident.

If you have a gate opener that does not work, or does not work well, the batteries may need to be replaced. New batteries can be purchased at CVS, Wal-Mart or Walgreen’s. These remotes use one “Duracell MN21/23 12 volt 3LR50” or equivalent battery.

If your gate opener is lost or stolen, please report the incident to Bill as soon as possible so the remote can be removed from the computer system for security reasons.

Q - Can I program my car’s built-in opener to operate the security gate?
Newer cars may be programmable. However, you will need a personal gate opener in order to set up your internal system.   See your vehicle owner’s manual for set-up instructions.

Q - How do you operate the security gate when you get a call from the "Call Box" ?
If a guest calls from the security gate’s call box (not their cell phone), you can open the gate by pressing “9” on your home phone.  If you have trouble with a wireless home phone you might need to press the “9” button on your phone twice.  The gates will not open if your guest calls from a cell phone.  They must use the "Call Box" for you to access the gates from your home.

Q - I have several guests coming after the gates are normally closed, how do they get in?
Guests can either call you from the security gate’s “Call Box” or the gates can be programmed to stay opened for your event. If you are having a party or similar function please notify Bill 24-hours prior to needing the gates to stay open. Call 324-4149 (home) or 294-4149 (office).
